Animal Control

Cecilia Middleton has been with the Middletown Twp. Police Department for over 25 years, and has served as Animal Control Officer since 1996. Her office responds to complaints received regarding household pets and their owners. She is responsible for enforcing violations of PA State Dog Laws and Township ordinances that prohibit dogs running at large, animal noise control, unlicensed dogs and unvaccinated dogs.

She can be reached at (215) 750-3845, ext. 242. If you are reporting an animal control problem which requires immediate attention, please call Police Dispatch at (215) 949-1000.

The Middletown Township Police Dept. maintains a stray kennel where most of the dogs found loose in the township are housed until they can be reunited with their owners. When an owner cannot be located or identified, dogs are taken to the Bucks county SPCA. Unfortunately, Middletown has no facilities for housing lost cats. If your cat is lost, you should check with the Bucks County SPCA to see if you cat has been found. You can reach the SPCA at (215) 794-7425.

The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture, has a web site (http://www.pda.state.pa.us) where you can get additional information regarding Pennsylvania Dog Laws. Information on Middletown Twp. Ordinances pertaining to animals can be obtained from the ACO.

Pennsylvania State Law requires all dogs aged three months or older must be licensed and have a current rabies vaccination. Licenses are issued by the county treasurer.
