The Middletown Community Foundation will award scholarships ranging from $750.00 to $2,000.00 to high school seniors residing in Middletown Township to be used for higher education. The scholarships must be used to pay for tuition and fees to enroll in or attend an educational institution (college, university or other accredited institution of higher education), or to purchase books, supplies and equipment that are required of all students for their course work.
High school seniors meeting the community service requirements are encouraged to apply for consideration of a scholarship. The Foundation's Scholarship Committee posts details regarding the application process on the Foundation’s website, www.middletowncf.org in early March of each year.
To be eligible for a scholarship, each applicant is required to write an essay describing the community service projects in which he or she is involved. A panel of Foundation board members evaluate each application based on pre-determined criteria.
