The LED Streetlight Upgrade Program construction moves into its next phase this week as crews begin installing new lighting fixtures in the nearly 2,000 cobrahead-style streetlights throughout the Township. Township staff began installing LEDs in approximately 1,000 decorative colonial-style streetlights in July, and many residents have already seen the improved lighting in parts of the Township.

The new LED lighting fixtures will provide a higher quality, more energy-efficient light than the fixtures they replace. Residents will enjoy better lighting along roadways while the Township reduces its energy consumption.
